Bright, Zippy and Highly Sessionable
This vintage we were fortunate enough to access some Grenache from the Arrawatta vineyard. Grenache has an interesting place in the Australian wine story as it has been around from the very start but has only really been given the attention it deserves in the past 15 years. In the past, it was used to make fortfieds or simply blended away with other varietals such as Shiraz but in recent times, winemakers have focused squarely on the variety and reaped the rewards.
As the Grampians is a cooler climate, we make our Grenache in a different style to other warmer growing regions. This is all about delivering bright fruit and fresh acidity.
