Semillon is underrated. When given some care and attention, it can produce some really tasty results which, not to blow our own trumpet, we can think we have created with this one. It ticks all the boxes for us- interesting, crisp and highly sessionable.

VINEYARD: The Old Chateau Remy Vineyard
GROWING SEASON:After a couple of challenging low yielding years, the 2021 growing season really turned it on. Good winter rains followed by a stable flowering period drastically improved the yields in the vineyard. It was a cooler summer that allowed maximum flavour development.
WINEMAKING: Destemmed fruit, spent 12 hours on skins before hitting the press. Fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness.
FOOD MATCH: Seafood always come to mind, done simply such as fresh prawns. Also is killer with the full spectrum of Asian cuisine.
